
Honors Program Curricular Tracks
Students who successfully fulfill the requirements in a series of courses in a given field, will receive an Honors Curricular Track certificate upon graduation.
BUSINESS TRACK
The required courses were chosen in part so that students majoring in any of the three largest degree programs of the AMS Department (AS in Business Administration, AAS in Business Management and AAS in Accounting) can participate in the program.

Exceptions
Current students who have already taken any of these courses, or new students who have transfer credit for any of these courses, can substitute other honor courses at the discretion of the program director. In addition, students who do not want to participate in the full honors program can still take individual honors courses.
Additional requirements

Successful completion of the Honors Freshman Seminar (for students entering the program during their first semester at the college)

Leadership Project on campus or local community (collaborating with a student club, student organization or college program to implement a project that will benefit the student population, meet a goal in the college’s strategic plan, or that will connect the college to the local community)

Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.1 over two semesters to remain in the Program and have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 to graduate with Honors Program designation.

Regular meetings with the program director and/or assigned faculty mentor for advisement (at least twice a semester)

A graduating essay (to be developed from research done in consultation with the director of the program)
