About us

What is LaGuardia Community College’s Honors Program?

Established in 2010, LaGuardia’s Honors Program features courses, mentorship and a student organization designed to support a community of dedicated, ambitious and talented students interested in intellectual challenge and serving their communities.

Our mission is to provide transfer strategies and resources for students aiming to attend selective four-year colleges and programs. In addition to our place as an active and growing force on LaGuardia’s campus, we work closely with professors to promote and collaborate on student research opportunities.

Students who participate in Honors Program courses also have the opportunities to present their research at LaGuardia’s Honors Conference, held every spring, or publish their coursework in our Honors Journal, published annually at the end of the school term.
