Slide THE HONORS JOURNAL

Slide The Honors Program at LaGuardia Community College participates in many activities beyond facilitating the honors courses. At the end of each year, the Honors Journal is a showcase of the hard work and dedication of the Honors Program's students, presenting their ideas to our larger communities. This page is an archive of these works and publications, compiled for your viewing pleasure.

LaGuardia Community College Honors Journals by the Year

Slide FAQ: How can students participate in the Honors Journal? The Honors Journal is published annually each Spring. Papers are selected from the two semesters prior to its publication (in example, the upcoming Spring 2023 issue will feature papers from Spring and Fall 2022). Students registered in Honors courses may have one of their research papers nominated by their professor for submission to the Honors Journal.

After the submission period is over, papers are subject to an exhaustive review process by a team of faculty comprising the Honors Editorial Committee. After review, nominated students and their professors will be notified regarding their acceptance for publication. While some papers may be accepted without revision, we more often than not ask students to revise their work. Comments and feedback left by the Honors Editorial Committee during their review are provided to students to aid them in their process.

If you're a student at LaGuardia and would like to partake in the Honors Journal, you can start by registering for our Honors courses. With due diligence, you may one day find your work featured in the Honors Journal.
